This stylish car became a crossover in 2016 when the second generation was introduced. Since then, we haven’t seen too many changes, which seems logical. Still, the compact crossover will soon enter fifth production year and for that occasion, we are about to see a big mid-cycle update. The testing model was spotted way back in January for the first time and, these days, it looks like it’s ready to hit the market. For this occasion, the French manufacturer has prepared a plethora of changes, starting from a new plug-in hybrid version. Also, there are notable styling changes, as well as a couple of interior tweaks. We expect that the 2020 Peugeot 3008 will hit the market in the next couple of months.

2020 Peugeot 3008 Plug-In Hybrid
There is no doubt that this is the biggest novelty for the next year. The compact crossover is about to get electrified powertrain option for the first time. We are about to see a new system, developed by a French manufacturer, which will be by far the most powerful version of this compact crossover. The 2020 Peugeot 3008 plug-in hybrid will feature a system that is based on a powerful 1.6-liter turbo-four engine. This one delivers 197 horsepower. In addition, it will come paired with a couple of electric motors, so a combined output will go all-away up to 295 horsepower. With such numbers, we count on some serious performances. On the other side, details about the battery pack are still unavailable, so we won’t speculate about the all-electric range and similar things.
2020 Peugeot 3008 Engines
Besides new plug-in hybrid powertrain, the 2020 Peugeot 3008 will carry on with familiar engine options. That means two gasoline and two diesel options in the offer. The gasoline lineup starts with a 1.2-liter unit with around 130 horsepower and ends with a 1.6-liter turbo-four that is good for about 165 horsepower. On the other side, the smaller 1.6-liter HDi turbodiesel comes in two variants, with either 100 or 120 horsepower, while the 2.0-liter HDi is good for either 150 or 180 horses. All engines come standard with manual gearbox, while some of them are available with automatic transmission as well.

Styling
This update will also be a typical facelift. We count on several changes, though the overall look won’t change too much. The 2020 Peugeot 3008 will come with a new face. Slight revisions are expected on the front fascia and front bumper. Other than that, we count on slight revisions on the hood. The rear end will include new taillights, as well as modifications on the bumper, new exhaust tips and similar things. Of course, we also expect to see new sets of wheels, new color options and similar things.
On the inside, Peugeot probably won’t touch too much. We are about to see the same attractive dashboard design, though slight revisions on the instrument cluster are possible. Also, we are about to see a new infotainment system, faster and with more features. Of course, additions in terms of standard equipment seem certain, as each trim level should come with a couple of novelties.

2020 Peugeot 3008 Release Date and Price
We expect to see 2020 Peugeot 3008 by the end of the year. Most likely, price won’t change too much, so base models should go around 27.500 Euros. This won’t be the only novelty from Peugeot for the next year. The next-generation of the smaller 2008 is coming as well. It will get bigger and ride on the same platform as the luxurious DS3 model from Citroen.
