The all-new, completely redesigned version of this small van will come in the next year, as the 2020 Dacia Dokker. Those are the latest reports about the model that has been around since 2012. We’ve been hearing various reports in the past few months, including various rumors about the discontinuation. However, that won’t happen. The second generation of the popular LAV will come with plenty of novelties and once again, it will be based on the famous Renault Kangoo. Count on a full load of changes, which will make this model more driveable, more efficient and even more practical.

2020 Dacia Dokker Redesign
The new 2020 Dacia Dokker will come with tons of novelties for sure. Of course, we count on completely new mechanics, considering that the current generation is based on the Kangoo, which has been around since 2007. Still, we don’t expect to see such radical changes as we saw in a concept version of the next generation of the French counterpart. Most likely, the new Dokker will come with a more conventional design, which will include mostly evolutionary changes compared to the outgoing model. Dimensions will certainly remain similar, as well as the overall proportions. In terms of the styling, we expect to see a completely new face, similar to what we have seen in the latest Dacia models.
Interior
For potential buyers, this is the most interesting part of the Dokker. Just like the original model, the 2020 Dacia Dokker will also put the focus on functionality. Count on a spacious and practical cabin, full of storage compartments. Also, be sure that the new model will remain a quite affordable car, so we probably won’t see any spectacular improvements in terms of interior quality. Just like the current version, the one won’t look particularly attractive, while most of the parts will feature hard plastics. Still, we count on upgrades and updates in terms of tech features, including a new infotainment system.
One of the biggest issues of the current model is the comfort, seat quality in particular. The seats are small and don’t feature spectacular support, so longer rides aren’t particularly pleasant in this small van. Also, the seating position is pretty high, but that’s a pretty common thing in the segment, so we don’t expect bigger changes in this aspect.

2020 Dacia Dokker Engines
When it comes to engines, we presume that two particular units will be in the focus. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind about this small van is a well-known 1.5-liter dCi turbodiesel. This will definitely remain the most popular choice and we have no doubt that the company will offer a couple of versions, with different output ratings. The current generation comes in two variants, with either 75 or 90 horsepower. We presume that the 2020 Dacia Dokker will come in a version with 110 horsepower as well.
Another engine we count on is a new 1.3-liter turbo-four petrol unit, which is good for about 130 horsepower. Along with diesel versions, this is expected to be the main choice by most drivers. Still, we expect to see a couple of more engines in the offer in certain parts of the world. Those are familiar and proven gasoline units – a 1.6-liter naturally-aspirated and a 1.2-liter turbo-four.
Is there a chance to see electric version?
As you probably know, the new Kangoo was presented with a completely new, all-electric drivetrain. Although the two models will keep a tight connection, we don’t expect that the 2020 Dacia Dokker will come with such advanced and expensive design. Simply, this model has always been a super-cheap alternative to more renowned brands and presume that the company will tend to keep that state.

2020 Dacia Dokker Release Date
We expect that the 2020 Dacia Dokker will hit the market in the next year. We also don’t expect bigger changes in terms of the price, so base models should go around 12.000 Euros.
