As a brand, Chrysler didn’t have too many successful models in recent history. One of the exceptions is this versatile minivan. Introduce a few years ago, it offers a perfect balance between functionality, comfort, and economy. Latest reports suggest that we are about to see some updates for the next year. Most likely, it will be a smaller update, while a mid-cycle refresh won’t come so soon, considering that things are going a little bit slower in this segment. This could mean things like more standard features, as well as a few new details in terms of styling. Other than that, the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica should continue in a familiar way. Expect to see it sometime in the second half of next year.
2020 Chrysler Pacifica Redesign
In terms of base design characteristics, this minivan definitely won’t feature more important changes. We are about to see a familiar, pretty common MPV shape, which definitely can’t vary that much, no matter how creative are designers of certain companies. At the front, you can notice elements of Chrysler’s new design language and the upcoming update could bring some minor tweaks in terms of new details on the front fascial and similar things. Rest of the vehicle will definitely remain the same. Of course, expect to see things like new color options, wheels designs etc.
2020 Chrysler Pacifica Interior
The cabin of 2020 Chrysler Pacifica also won’t receive too many changes. This MPV is characterized by a pretty comfortable cabin, which offers lots of legroom in all three rows of seating. Just like most MPVs, it can carry up to seven people. The overall cabin quality is pretty high. You can count on lots of soft-touch materials, plenty of gadgetry and other tech features, advanced driver-assist systems etc. The biggest drawback is probably cargo space, which offers a little bit less volume compared to most of the models in class.
2020 Chrysler Pacifica Trim Levels
The base trim level organization will probably remain the same. We will see the same trim levels in the offer, though each version should receive few novelties in terms of standard equipment. In the current model, the base L trim already comes with lots of standard equipment. You can count on a 7-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, six-speaker audio, smartphone integration, Bluetooth, USB etc. It also offers plenty of safety features, including a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring etc.
The next one is called LX and it adds things like alloy wheels, power-adjustable front seats, steering wheel mounted controls, automatic headlights etc. Rest of the trim levels gradually add more and more standard equipment. The lineup ends with the Limited trim, which includes even things like ventilated seats, premium Nappa leather, hands-free power liftgate etc.
2020 Chrysler Pacifica Engines
In this aspect, we definitely won’t see changes. The 2020 Chrysler Pacifica will continue with a familiar 3.6-liter V6 engine. It is good for about 285 horsepower and besides lots of power also offers pretty good fuel economy numbers. It returns around 18 mpg in the city and up to 28 on the highway. If you are for something even more economical, a plug-in hybrid is a perfect choice for you. It may feature a higher price tag, but its amazing fuel economy definitely makes the difference. The whole system delivers around 260 horsepower, while a fuel economy goes around 32 mpg in a combined drive. You can also count on 33 miles of an all-electric range.
2020 Chrysler Pacifica Release Date and Price
Expect to see 2020 Chrysler Pacifica sometime in the second half of next year. Considering expected updates, it should be a little bit earlier than usual. When it comes to price, base models will go around 27.000 dollars. Hybrid models start at 40.000, while the best-equipped version go all away up to 46.000 dollars.
i would like to see an electric-only autonomy of at least 100 km; a pluggable hybrid AWD power and an interior not only quiet but equally very light in color such as light brown, red, orange or white-gray.
to this a see-through roof but no need to be openable…
of course, all of this at a reasonable price similar to the Hyundai Kona electric.
