2020 Chevy Orlando is Ready for More Drastic Changes

The forthcoming 2020 Chevy Orlando is getting to the markets once again. It is a minivan that comes with character and uniqueness. Chevrolet was one of the leaders in the minivan segment, but it seems like the Honda and Chrysler overtook that position. Now, Orlando will get various upgrades, and it will be a more competitive model.

The arriving minivan will get numerous exterior changes, and the interior will provide better comfort. Even the performances will be improved. Chevrolet will look to offer more standard equipment and a couple of new optional amenities. A hybrid variant is just a speculation for now, and it is unlikely to happen in the next year or two.

2020 Orlando Exterior Facelift

The all-new 2020 Chevy Orlando will get a lot of exterior refinements. On the first look, you can spot some of the differences between the current and the new model. For a start, Orlando will arrive as a slightly larger minivan. New bumpers are also enlarged, and 20-inch alloy wheels are the latest addition. Chevrolet will offer new tires, and it will deliver a sportier look this time.

The complete minivan looks modern, and the styling is imposing. The shape is similar to the shape of a regular crossover. Styling is unique and sharper than before, so that is the reason for a crossover-like appearance. The manufacturer should introduce new optional exterior features and two all-new exterior paints.

Interior Overhaul

Nowadays, every minivan offers a spacious cabin and an excellent level of comfort. The 2020 Chevy Orlando will be no different. After all, a minivan is made for longer trips and larger families. You won’t find a model that comes with the tight cargo area. However, Chevrolet enlarged its Orlando, so the space inside the cabin is now even more generous. Not only that, American carmaker will offer new interior design. The instrument board is completely new, and it looks more modern now.

On top of that, it comes with fewer buttons and controls. Most of the controls can be found on a new display in front of the driver’s seat. Seats are also new and larger than on the current model. Furthermore, heating and cooling options are now available on the base trim level. The cabin is quieter, and Chevrolet will update the infotainment system too. Finally, we can expect new safety aids on higher trim levels.

Performance and Transmission

In the last couple of months, Chevrolet was very quiet and mysterious about the possible engine changes. The speculations are more frequent, and we believe for a good reason. The 2020 Chevy Orlando will use a 2.0-liter diesel engine outside the U.S. This unit is producing 173 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque. For the customers in the United States, Chevrolet will provide a 1.8-liter gasoline engine.

With this powertrain, Orlando will generate 145 horsepower and 130 lb-ft of torque. Both engines will use the same 6-speed automatic transmission. The four-wheel-drive system will be optional on the base model. Lastly, a hybrid version is a possibility, but that will not happen before 2022.
