Now, the 2019 VW Touran is one of the leaders in its segments. It is capable to take up to seven passengers and access to rear seats is pretty easy.

The changes introduced with the second generation in 2015 were kept ever since. The 2019 VW Touran will make only minor cosmetic changes, while the most of the lines and shapes will remain the same.

The SEL is one of the most exclusive versions with larger wheels, three-zone climate control, and better lighting setup. Top of the line class is 2019 VW Touran R Line model with tinted glasses and premium interior. It also uses 18-inch wheels, that no other version has to offer.

Volkswagen is meeting the requirements of European countries regarding pollution. So, the company is not affected by scandal happened in the US. Well, the laws are softer in Europe. Anyway, the 2019 VW Touran offers both diesel and petrol units.
On the one side, we have a 1.2-liter petrol drivetrain as the engine for base models. It creates 110 hp and 130 lb-ft (175 Nm) of torque. There are two more potent gasoline options. A smaller one is a 1.4-liter TSI with 150 hp and 250 Nm (185 lb-ft). The same torque is offered by a 1.8-l petrol unit. But this one produces the most power – 180 horsepower.
Diesel Engines
The second, diesel squad, also offers three options. The first one is a 1.6-liter turbo-four unit. This mill is capable to deliver the same power as the base petrol, and torque as other two gasoline engines – 110 hp and 185 lb-ft. Its alternative is a 2.0-liter diesel engine, also turbocharged. Two kinds of tuning can make this mill burst either 150 or 190 horsepower and 340 or 400 Nm (250/295 pound-feet) of a twist. All units are built on an MQB platform and the drivetrains are sending power through a dual-clutch automatic transmission. The most powerful diesel engine can sprint to 100 km/h in eight seconds.
