The 2019 Opel Combo is one of the first models that comes after PSA bought this German carmaker. Logically, it shares a lot with its French siblings. This is a minivan, which comes with many similarities with the legendary Berlingo, which is definitely one of the most popular models in the class. Two models share so many things, so we have no doubt that the new Combo will be successful. After all, it has already managed to win a couple of awards and get highly positive critics from both experts and crowd. The new model is already available on sale and it comes with a couple of powertrain options, as well as in two sizes.

2019 Opel Combo Redesign
As we already mentioned, this is one of the first models under Opel’s badge that is actually a product of PSA. It is a compact minivan, which is designed alongside famous Berlingo. Two models share pretty much identical mechanics, while there are several unique visual details. In terms of the overall shape, you definitely won’t notice too many differences compared to the Berlingo.
On the other side, the front end is completely opposite to the French sibling. While the Berlingo comes with the attractive, Cactus-like face, the 2019 Opel Combo is characterized by far more conservative approach. It looks pretty conventional, with Opels familiar grille design and headlights. Still, the overall shape is pretty much the same on these two models. Just like the Citroen, the Combo also comes in two sizes. Standard models come with two rows of seatings. There is also a stretched version. It is longer for about 18 inches, which is enough for an optional third row of seating.

2019 Opel Combo Interior
Like the one in Berlingo, the 2019 Opel Combo’s cabin is both stylish and practical. There are few distinctive details, but the overall cabin layout is pretty much the same in the two models. Some of the Opel’s own details are things like a different steering wheel and air vents. Also, the center console looks a little bit different. Other than that, things are pretty much the same. The dashboard layout is the same and it is highlighted by a large tablet-like touchscreen on the center stack. Among tech, goodies are also Bluetooth, USB ports, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charging etc.
The overall cabin quality is good. Most materials are soft on touch and seem quite durable. Still, the best thing about this cabin is practicality. You can count on lots of storage compartments – two glove boxes, on the roof, in doors, center console and many other places. The cabin is also pretty generous in space. Both rows offer plenty of legroom and there is no doubt this minivan can accommodate five adult passengers.
As we already mentioned, a longer version is also available. It features additional 18 inches in length, which brings additional cargo space (which is already in the base model pretty generous), as well as a possibility to go for an optional third row of seating.

2019 Opel Combo Safety
Another strong point of this minivan is safety. It managed to score some pretty good ratings on crash tests, just like it was the case with the Berlingo. Besides a well-designed chassis, the vehicle is also full of advanced safety systems. Some of the highlights are a 180-degree camera, traffic sign recognition, head-up display, lane keep assist, automatic cruise control, park assist etc.
2019 Opel Combo Engines
Just like the Berlingo, the 2019 Opel Combo is available in five powertrain choices. There are one gasoline and one diesel engine in the offer, A gasoline engine is a new 1.2-liter unit, which comes in two power outputs, with either 110 or 130 horsepower.
When it comes to oil-burners, you can count on a new 1.5-liter
