As every Mercedes, the V-Class will be one of the most luxurious vans. Pricey and comfortable, the next model will also introduce a new look. According to spy photos, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz V-class is almost ready and we could expect it to see very soon. The vehicle was spied recently without camouflage and that gives us a clear hint the premiere could happen soon.
The V-Class nameplate returned in 2014 with the most recent series of vehicles. However, the German carmaker was in the minivan class ever since 1996 and arrival of Vito model. Now, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz V-class continues heritage. It will also try to update the driving mechanics which were the main disadvantage of this van.
2019 Mercedes-Benz V-class Engine
The latest update on the minivan brought a new drivetrain. It was a 2.1-liter turbodiesel. The engine is capable to produce 190 horsepower, which is the same as its predecessor. Well, it was a bigger, 3.0-liter unit that consumes more fuel. So, buyers are getting the same output with a better mileage. As every diesel, this one offers enough torque to make 2019 Mercedes-Benz V-class sprint 0-60 mph in 9 seconds. The amount of twisting power is 480 Nm (355 lb-ft). The drivetrain sends power through a seven-pace G-Tronic automatic transmission. However, this gearbox could get a replacement soon. Even 2019 Mercedes minivan could present the new transmission case.
2019 Mercedes-Benz V-class Features and Drive Modes
What makes the 2019 Mercedes-Benz V-class so special is its wide offer of various accessories. For example, the new Agility system boosts handling and overall driving impression. Besides that, the driver can select one of four ride modes – Eco, Sport, Comfort, and Manual. Of course, the Eco mode is the most fuel-friendly, while the Sport offers the best response and not so good mileage. The new 2019 Mercedes V-class will return 37/45 mpg (31/37 mpg in the US).
V-class US Release
Could this minivan head across the ocean to the major market in the world? We seriously doubt. The German carmaker has a representative in this region, it is Mercedes-Benz Metris. The 2019 Mercedes-Benz V-class will remain the main option for the European market and the competitor to VW Touran. Whatsoever, in future, we can’t guarantee the company won’t bring the V-Class to the US.
2019 Mercedes-Benz V-class AMG and Sport
Sport is one of two trim levels which will be available for the upcoming minivan. The other we will surely see is 2019 Mercedes-Benz V-class AMG. Some other trims are possible, but we still don’t have any info about it. Sport model comes equipped with a navigation and parking sensors with rearview cameras. It adds automatic tailgate and 17-inch wheels. Inside, we can find heating and cooling functions for leather seats. Also, the base trim offers three-zone climate control and a seven-inch infotainment screen. The AMG version will raise everything to another level, but the company still don’t confirm features for this model.
The new 2019 Mercedes-Benz V-class will present a new look. It is not changing radically, but the test mule is obviously more aggressive than its predecessor. Sharper nose and grille modifications will make a statement wherever it appears. The aesthetic look will take advantages from recently updated Sprinter cargo van. Also, features the new Marco Polo camper brought will be installed in this minivan.
2019 Mercedes-Benz V-class Release Date, Price
The new 2019 Mercedes-Benz V-class is almost here. It is just a matter of time when it will have a debut. The test mule is almost stripped. Without covers, we believe Mercedes is presenting the new vehicle, which should become official by the end of 2018. The price is not going to be higher since the premium minivan is one of the most expensive already. On the other hand, the 2019 Mercedes V-class AMG model will cost over 60,000 pounds without upgrades.
