In the segment of commercial vehicles, there is no need for quick changes. Therefore, the Dokker remains pretty much unchanged for full six years. Originally introduced in 2012, this compact minivan represents Romanian carmaker in the class of small commercial vehicles and passenger vans. As we already mentioned, the overall design hasn’t changed for these six years of production. However, it looks like we are about to finally see some novelties in the 2019 Dacia Dokker.
It looks like the upcoming model is about to receive a couple of interesting novelties. At this point, we don’t know too many details, but we have no doubt that the focus will be on aesthetics and probably a few changes on the inside. On the other side, its palette of engines should remain unchanged, as well as pretty much complete mechanics. It should arrive pretty soon, in the next couple of weeks.
2019 Dacia Dokker Changes
So, what could be the most interesting novelties for the 2019 Dacia Dokker? We are sure that the upcoming model will introduce subtle changes only. This would mean that the best we can get is actually a fine amount of aesthetical updates. It’s not easy to make a conclusion that front end is the area that would suffer most in this case. If this happens, we have no doubt that the new 2019 Dacia Dokker will stick to its basic model, Sandero. This means it could receive the same front end, which in this case means a lot of work. Count on a completely new shape of headlights, as well as on a new grille, which would drop the current hexagon-like grille. Other areas of the vehicle would probably keep the same look, though we could count on new color options and similar sorts of things.
2019 Dacia Dokker Redesign
Despite all the potential changes, the 2019 Dacia Dokker will definitely stick to its base design characteristics. The upcoming update might be full of aesthetical changes, but don’t count on any of mechanical novelties. The new model will continue to ride on Nissan’s familiar B platform, which received a plethora of modifications for this occasion. Practically, this model rides on the same M0 platform, which is used for other Dacia models as well, including Sandero, Logan, Lodgy etc. The vehicle is produced in Morocco and Argentina and it will continue with familiar body styles. As you probably know, the Dokker comes in three variants – MPV, panel van and pickup. All models feature same 110.6 inches in wheelbase, while overall dimensions are pretty close as well. The panel van is definitely the most popular version of the vehicle, preferred by many companies and others who use this vehicle for commercial purpose.
2019 Dacia Dokker Interior
Like all models from this manufacturer, this one doesn’t shine on the inside. Even the passenger cars aren’t spectacular at all in this area, so you can imagine how a commercial derivate ended. Things are pretty simple with this car. You trade interior quality for the affordable price. In practice, this means that the cabin is full of cheap plastics. Also, the seating position isn’t that good. It is a classical van position, so you sit pretty high, almost on the top of the cabin, someone would say.
The dashboard design comes in a common Dacia manner, so you won’t find too many differences compared to models like Logan or Sander. You will find familiar aid vents, controls and instrument cluster. On the other side, a list of standard equipment is shorter. In MPV models, seating capacity increases to seven, though the last row is pretty tight, while cargo is sacrificed almost entirely. On the other side, commercial models will offer you all the cargo you need. For the upcoming update, we probably won’t see too many changes on the inside. Basically, a few more standard features are everything you could expect to see in the next year.
2019 Dacia Dokker Engines
The next year definitely won’t bring any change under the hood. Since we are talking about a vehicle that is used predominately for commercial purposes, you shouldn’t expect too much refinement under the hood.
The offer starts with a familiar 1.6-liter gasoline engine, which is good for about 85 horsepower and 99 pound-feet of torque. It is also important to mention that this engine can be adapted to liquid petrol oil as well, which is definitely the most economical powertrain you can get in this vehicle.
If you are for something more modern, there is a familiar 1.2-liter turbo inline-four. This one delivers around 115 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque.
When it comes to diesel units, there is well-known 1.5-liter dCi, which comes in two output variants, with either 75 or 90 horses.
All engines come with a 5-speed manual transmission.
2019 Dacia Dokker Price
One of the best things about the 2019 Dacia Dokker will be its price. It definitely won’t suffer too much, compared to the current model, which starts at super affordable 9.000 Euros. Transferred to dollars, this is a little bit more than 10.000.
